Community
aid received by Gipuzkoa during the period 1986-99 and managed by
the Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa* -actions promoted by the
provincial organism as well as those promoted by the city halls themselves-
amounts to 23,721.2 million pesetas.
To analyse the evolution of Gipuzkoa with respect to European Regional
Policy, we must differentiate three sub-periods.

In this programme period, financing received by Gipuzkoa and managed
by the Diputación Foral comes from ESF and amounts to 79.8
million pesetas. |
Overall financing amounts to 6,577.9 million pesetas, of which 4,737.8
million pesetas (72%) come from the ERDF through objective 2; 922.1
million pesetas (14%) come from the ESF (though objective 2 and
objective 3) and 918 million pesetas (14%) correspond to community
initiatives. |
In this period, Gipuzkoa receives 17,063.5 million pesetas. Of this
global amout, 7,290.4 million pesetas (43%) correspond to the ERDF
(with 6,376.1 million for projects managed by the DFG and 914.3 million
pesetas for projects of Gipuzkoa municipalities): 4,410.9 million
(26%) correspond to the ESF, 1,347.2 million pesetas (8%) are community
initia-tives, while 4,015 million pesetas (23%) correspond to the
Cohesion Fund. |
