This axis aims to provide fresh opportunities
for all jobless persons, including any who abandoned the job
market due to a lack of prospects.
MEASURES
Measure 1: Offering jobless persons insertion
into the job market.
Any activities in this direction are mainly geared towards
adults before they have spent 12 months in unemployment, and
for jobless persons in general.
Action taken: Occupational professional
training
The action taken consists of occupational training in three
areas (staff, social concerns and employment), directed at groups
which experience greater difficulties accessing the general job
market, normally those with physical handicaps.
Measure 2: Combating long-term employment
by employment reinsertion programmes for the long-term unemployed.
Any action taken in connection with this measure is generally
directed at the long-term unemployed.
Measure 3: Offering professional employment
insertion to young people.
Action taken in connection with this measure is generally directed
at young unemployed persons, and basically involves offering
employment to this group before they have spent six months in
unemployment, measures for professional job insertion and replacing
passive measures with active measures.
Action taken: Combined training-employment
programme.
This involves job insertion with employment information and
guidance, specific training in NICT technology and practice at
work centres, as part of a customised jobhunting management scheme
based on the initiative taken by the unemployed person.
