Period 1989-1993: Quantification of funding in Gipuzkoa

We now turn to quantifying the funding received by Gipuzkoa from the European Union (EU) in the period 1986-1999:

Through Structural Funds, by objectives, by axes and programmes.
Through Community Initiatives.
Through Innovative Actions.
Through Cohesion Funds.

Detailed analysis of funding received by Gipuzkoa during these years and the posterior analysis of the distribution of that funding by axes and action measures will make it possible to assess the impact of Community Regional Policy in Gipuzkoa.
This paper does not indicate funds obtained for objectives 5b and those obtained from FEOGA, due to their sectorial specificity.

In this programme period, funding increases notably. In this sense, Gipuzkoa receives a total of 6,577.9 million pesetas, of which 5,659.9 million pesetas (86%) correspond to Structural Funds (ERDF and ESF) and 918 million pesetas (14%) correspond to Community Initiatives (684.3 millions) and to the customs reconversion plan (233.7 million pesetas).

Of the total funding for the period, the greatest amount corresponds to the years 1992 and 1993, which confirms the fact that the community funding that Gipuzkoa has been receiving, follows a clear upwards trajectory in compliance with the previsions of the reform of Structural Funds.
